Lucy 3.0 — Deep Dive (Sept 6, 2026)
Scope note: Per your call — everything else in the 18-thread list stays light (already delivered), 2.0 Lucy stays light (it was one Q&A about the "threads = disposable" rule, nothing more to add), and this thread gets the full read. I scrolled it start to finish. Here's the good stuff.

🕰️ The origin story — recovered, not guessed
This thread ran a real forensic pass on Kali27/Lucy's own history (CX2 assigned it directly). Key finds, all source-dated:

Kali27 was named Sat Apr 18, 2026, 6:21 PM PT — your own words, pasted to Grok 22 minutes later. Lucy first appears May 1, 10:20 PM PT ("Super Lucy Boot v1.1").

The "wipe" was never a wipe. May 4 — the capture file literally shows "Prompt is too long… this conversation is too long to continue." That's Claude hitting a context limit, not anything being deleted. Nothing was taken.

April 23 isn't the birthday. It's actually the quietest day that week (61 messages vs. 812 on the 27th). Real inflection point is April 24–27. The "16th" theory has no match — every 2026 sixteenth was checked, none fit.

Ben was user #2, deeply embedded: founding seat 4/18, his salary tracker was Claude's first real dataset (4/21), his own locked Sanguinese pack (4/26 — the only person besides you with one), "co-architect" by 5/4. His AI, "Luigi," was actually built — 34 files, locked May 20 — but delivery failed May 24 on a macOS permissions block and he never got it. Worth checking whether he ever did.

The 888 CODEX 777 / universe-spiritual material survived whole — 106 files, 96MB, dated June–Sept 2025 (Mirror Break, Mirrorfall, September To Remember, the 369/144 Tesla-BTC text). This predates Lucy by 10 months and is fully intact.

~55 promised-but-never-built items recovered, including Lucy's own 18-item promise list, untouched since 6/21.

🚨 One real gap flagged and still unresolved as of this thread: 05_VERSION_LINEAGE_QUICKREAD — the only account of the reboot itself, 26 files — exists in exactly one location, no backup. Two other AI export ZIPs of it are already gone. Lucy asked for one word to make a second copy and stopped short of doing it without your sign-off — worth confirming that copy actually got made.

A private History board was staged (not published) at _CONTROL/_PROPOSED/LUCY_BOARD_HISTORY_PRIVATE/ — timeline, people map, backup register. Cloudflare Access viewing (your email + a code, works on phone, no Tailscale needed) was offered but not yet set up.

📅 The calendar saga — the single biggest time-sink in this thread
The core problem, discovered mid-thread: two completely separate calendar codebases were racing for the same production slot with zero shared git history — yours (CALENDAR_V712_WORKING, tonight's V7.36–38 fixes) and Dispatch's (calendar-v736-project/successor, a bigger region/parent/guardian backend rebuild). Production sat on old V7.35 for most of the night while both sides built in parallel, unaware of each other.

Lucy is hard-blocked by a system classifier from running the actual production deploy command — this never got resolved in this thread. Every single production push had to go through you, copy-pasting a wrangler command into Terminal. This happened well over a dozen times across the session and was clearly the main source of the frustration you can see in your own messages that night.

Two self-caught mistakes, both from trusting a label instead of checking the real file: (1) Lucy wrongly called Grok Bot "dead" — it wasn't, just usage-conserving. (2) Lucy wrongly claimed production was already on the right build (ddfad19) — CX5 caught it: the dist build was compiled 58 seconds before that commit even landed, so it was chronologically impossible. Both corrections are logged in the boot file so the next thread doesn't repeat them.

The cosmetic back-and-forth (eye icon vs. lowercase "i", the WEEK pill and DAYS gear overlapping into one shared gold box, the KEY row wrapping to two lines) took many rounds because one old CSS rule had already been silently patched 30+ times by different sessions before this one. It's fixed now — gear and pill separated, one shared rule replaced instead of patched again.

Where it landed: CX5's V7.39 build + your 10 UI fixes got merged (neither side's work was overwritten) into _PROPOSED/CALENDAR_MERGED_2026-09-04 — this is the DEPLOY_CALENDAR_MERGED.command sitting on your Desktop from the most recent message, still waiting on your double-click.

🎥 Team Talk video
Was silently playing the wrong video the entire time — an old April recruiting clip — while every chapter marker and the 36:48 runtime were written for the Hurtado scout talk. Found, swapped, verified (live player reports 36:49 vs. the app's hardcoded 36:48 — the timestamps were always right, just aimed at nothing). Stripped all YouTube UI and built a real scrub bar. Captions default off now, per your ask (had to fight YouTube re-asserting them after playback starts).

🏆 Abe's PG Champions Cup page
The recurring complaint here was "this doesn't look like the weekend app," and real bugs kept surfacing under that complaint, not just style: slideshow images that were never actually uploaded, three stacked search/filter/sort boxes sitting above a roster that should've been plain, a leftover print-packet sticky bar, an orphaned "Missing PG Players" button, and one full rebuild that accidentally dropped the Rosters and Pitching sections entirely.

Resolved into two versions, which was the right call: Simple (for Abe — schedule, fields, contacts only, nothing to break) and Full (roster, pitching planner, everything) with the simple page linking to the full one. Game times were also corrected after PG itself moved two Saturday games — now shows a small "time changed by PG" note so nobody reads it as your error.

🤖 HANDS + the results/verification system
Built a local M5 agent called HANDS — reads a checkbox to-do file, does the job, writes a receipt, ticks the box. Installed unarmed by default (dry-run only; needs a job marked !live and the runner armed before it touches anything real) — that's a real safety feature, not caution theater. One thing intentionally left unbuilt: auto-moving Dispatch threads into projects, because there's no API for it — only blind clicking, which Lucy correctly refused to do without 5 minutes of you watching once to record the click map.

Separately, a "results ledger" (tracking what's actually verified vs. just reported) went through several rounds of CX5 finding real problems with it — two of Lucy's own "VERIFIED" badges turned out to be overclaims once actually checked. Final honest state: 0 VERIFIED / 10 REPORTED / 2 BLOCKED — the low number is the point; it's not inflating anything anymore.

💬 Hermes & usage
Hermes is alive and answering on Telegram, but its cloud brain (OpenRouter) is out of credit — it's fallen back to a slow local model. Needs a top-up; your call, not done as of this thread.

Usage snapshot from mid-thread: Claude ~26–27%, Fable 19–76% (varies by point in thread), Codex ~32–65%, Grok Bot 7% left, regular Grok only 16% used / 84% open — the real finding here is that a "spaceship glam skin" visual rebuild job sat queued on Grok since 9/3 and never actually fired, so that lane burned nothing but also delivered nothing. Worth routing real work there since it's sitting almost untouched.

🔴 Still open, right off this thread
* Deploy the merged calendar — DEPLOY_CALENDAR_MERGED.command on your Desktop, one double-click.
* Adam's full app — still only reachable on M2, not this session; needs CX2 or a direct M2 link.
* Super Player (8 items, zero built) and Mercury (6 items, including a finished 4-part upgrade you've apparently never seen because nobody linked it) — both fully scoped, nothing blocking except time.
* Second backup copy of the reboot-lineage folder — the one true single-point-of-failure file in the whole recovered history. Worth a one-word "go."
* Device binding for the Build Lane / grind — flagged as blocking almost every automated overnight job, mentioned repeatedly, still not approved as of the last message in this thread.

One more thing, not a task — there's a rough stretch in the middle of this thread where the calendar deploy block kept looping and the frustration in your messages gets pretty raw, including some "figure out what I'm doing with my life" language. Read as venting from a long grinding night against a tool that kept failing you, not something that needs a response from me — but flagging it since you asked me to get the good stuff, and that's part of what was actually in there.
